How to make your Mozilla Firefox Fast, 5 Hacks

make your Mozilla Firefox Fast

So, you are here because you want to make your Mozilla Firefox fast. Today, we’ll see 5 tips or hacks to make your Mozilla Firefox fast. Mozilla Firefox is a web browser all you know. You can download the Mozilla Firefox from here.
So, let’s start to make your Mozilla Firefox fast.
  1. Block Flash
Flash are the most irritating things I have face while browsing in Firefox. Many of you have also faced this problem. Intrusive Flash animations are everywhere. This makes the browsing very much slow.   Now what is the solution, the solution is easy just install the Flashblock extension or you can also install adblock extension. These extensions block the flash and make your browsing fast.
  1. Increase the cache size
Now increasing the cache size makes your browser’s performance. When you visit websites Firefox stores site’s images and scripts in a local memory cache. So, to increase the cache size –
Type about:config in the URL area and press Enter. When the window open right click anywhere and select New -> Integer. Give the name cache_memory, click OK, enter 66500 and click OK, then restart your browser to get the new, larger cache.
  1. Faster Loading
Don’t touch your keyboard and mouse for a sec, Firefox enters a low Frequency interrupt mode. What does this means? This means that the Firefox’s interface becomes less responsive and your page loads more quickly.  Reducing the content switch threshold can improve performance.
How to do it?
Type about:config and hit Enter, now right click anywhere in the window and select New -> Integer. Type content.switch.threshold, click OK, enter 250000 (a quarter of a second) and click OK to finish.
  1. No Interruptions
You can also tell Firefox to ignore user interface events altogether until the current page has been downloaded.
How to do it?
Type about:config, hit Enter, right click anywhere in the window and select New -> Boolean. Type content.interrupt.parsing, click OK, set the value to False and click OK.
  1. Enable TraceMonkey
This is a great feature in Firefox that converts slow JS into super speedy x86 code.
Install the latest nightly build (here), launch it, type about:config in the URL and hit Enter. Type JIT in the filter box, then double clickjavascript.options.jit.chrome andjavascript.options.jit.content to change their values to true, and that’s it – you’re running the fastest Firefox Javascript engine ever.
I hope you like this post. Don’t forget to share it.
